At what point does a demonstration do more harm than good?
Occupy is having a National Occupy Day in Support of Prisoners demonstration outside of San Quentin Prison, and because of this the prison will be going on lockdown. A friend of mine and I are having a conversation around it on Facebook somewhere along the lines of, she think’s the demonstration needs to be somewhere else because its causing a lockdown and making the prisoners situation worse, and I think that the demonstration needs to say at San Quentin because the show of people power is well, powerful. Especially in a situation like this. But it also got be thinking, at what point does a demonstration, protest, or show of people power do more harm than go?
